Newly hatched chicks

We believe that the mothering instinct of our hens is the most reliable way to ensure strong, healthy, happy chicks.  When possible, we allow our hens to hatch and raise their own babies.  This leads to a higher percentage of successful hatches, as well as an increased survival rate when compared to incubator-hatched chicks. In our experience, allowing the mother hen to raise her own brood also helps nurture the physical and physiological development of the chicks.  

Of course, this means that the chicks become available on Mother Nature's schedule rather than our own, so please understand if we can't accommodate you right away.  If you would like to place an order, we are happy to use our incubators and provide you a more reliable availability date.
